Sundays
Summer Sundays
Things will look a little different on Sunday at St. Aidan’s over the summer, but we’re continuing to meet. We’d love you to join us for our gatherings in July and August.
-
We’re taking a break on the last Sunday in July while some of our team are away. We’d love to encourage you to connect with one of the other fantastic local churches for worship on this Sunday.
-
Instead of our usual Sunday service, we’re meeting on Saturday to share time together as a church family. There’ll be a chance to connect with one another and have some fun. More details are available here.
-
A shorter, simpler service with space to worship, hear from the Bible, and pray. Especially suitable for the summer holidays, with something for all ages.
-
Another relaxed, holiday-mode gathering with a shorter service – ideal if you’ve got visiting family or children with you. Still 3PM at Bridekirk.
-
We’re keeping things simple again this Sunday with a shorter, all-age 3PM Lite service. Come as you are and join us for a relaxed afternoon together at Bridekirk.
-
A full service at our usual time of 3PM at St. Bridget’s, Bridekirk. We’ll worship together, open the Bible, and share in prayer and community.
-
We’re celebrating one year of meeting together with a special gathering at the Braithwaite Institute. Join us for worship, food, and fun for all ages as we mark what God’s been doing among us and look ahead.
All the details are available here.
The 3PM
Join us every Sunday for an hour of worship, teaching from the Bible, and an opportunity to respond to all that God is doing in our time together.
The 3PM is a gathering for everyone: no matter your age, experience of church, or where you are at with faith. We always spend some of our gatherings all together, and on some Sunday’s there are opportunities for kids and young people to break off into their own group. Whatever we’re doing, we want to help people of all ages engage with God and one another.
Please stick around after the service for refreshments
How do I get there?
St. Bridget’s Bridekirk (CA13 0PE) is just a mile off of the A595 and 5 minutes from Cockermouth by car.
There is limited parking available by the entrance to the churchyard, but plenty of on-street parking in the village itself. Please do be considerate of our neighbours as you park.
Get to know the songs
