Families at

St. Aidan’s

Seeing God’s Kingdom Come,

in Cumbria as it is in heaven.

The Vision

Families are one of the many ways that God helps to bring about his Kingdom. Here at St. Aidan’s, we love families and endeavour to support and encourage them in their journeys of life and faith.

What we do

Sundays - Our Sunday afternoon services are built with families in mind. We often have ‘All-In’ services, where the whole church community stays together for the whole time. We sing, we pray, we laugh, we listen, we meet together and meet with Jesus. Sometimes we’ll have a ‘Kids Group’ Sunday, but will often be reading the same verses from the Bible so that we can chat and pray about it through the week ahead around the dinner table together.

Pop-Up Family Prayer - From time to time we run Pop-up prayer events in various places across the area. These are great opportunities for the wholoe family to come together and pray. You may even be able to steal some of the ideas and use them at home!

Who Let the Dads Out?! - Launching soon, our WLTDO group is for Dads and father figures along with their children. We’ll go for walks, have craft/actity mornings, and all sorts of other things.

More coming soon..!

“See, I am doing a new thing!

Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?

I am making a way in the wilderness

and streams in the wasteland.”
